Weapons

I had thrown on a short-sleeved dress shirt to hide the gun. The dress shirt was in a modest black and royal-blue print. The outfit looked great. Sweat trickled down my spine. Too hot for the shirt, but the Browning gave me thirteen bullets. Fourteen if you're animal enough to shove the magazine full and carry one in the chamber. I didn't think that things were that bad yet.

Commentary * In her battles against supernatural forces, Anita has had an arsenal of weaponry at her disposal. The ones I have been able to find are listed below:
Browning Hi-Power 9mm (usually loaded with silver Glazer Safety Rounds and usually in a shoulder holster) - holds 13 bullets
Firestar 9mm
An American derringer, .38 Special
A sawed off shotgun
A mini-Uzi
Two wrist knives, highest possible silver content in the blades
A short sword, strapped to her back and covered by her hair
A 4-inch switchblade that pops out of the top (normal size is six inches, but Anita required a smaller blade)
Edward's hollow point silver bullets, with mercury and holy water loaded into the end and sealed on top with wax.

(misspelled in OB-Paperback edition)
9 mm Luger, 147 JHP/XTP, silver-coated, designed to penetrate the target, but not so far as to pass through the target and "create a hazard."
Kevlar vest, specially made for Anita's smaller size - a gift from Edward for guessing correctly the location of all his weapons on his person.
