Ulfric

I fell to my knees, fighting not to finish the ritual, but I could feel them in the dark, eager. I was giving off scent and it wasn't just blood. The words were pulled from my throat as if by a hand. Each word squeezed out until it hurt to speak. "Claim me if you can, my Ulfric."

Commentary * A term used by wolves to name their male alpha leader. The Ulfric is the ultimate leader of the wolf pack, responsible for ruling the lesser wolves within the pack. (Also see lukoi)

* He (or she, though a female Ulfric is rare) must be the dominant wolf in the pack, because succession comes through a death match.
