Trolls

Trolls looked frightfully human, but then they were primates.

Commentary * There is a tribe of Lesser Smokey Mountain Trolls located in the Ozark Mountains. They are one of the smallest of the North American trolls. They are only 3-1/2 to 5 feet tall. They are vegetarians and supplement their diet with carrion and insects. 

* They are also covered from head to foot in black fur and are completely bipedal.

* A Lesser troll would not attack a human if it had a choice.

* A Greater Smokey Mountain Troll might have, but they have been extinct for 20 years and their method of killing is snapping off a tree trunk and using it as a club.

* They are 8 to 12 feet tall and carnivorous, tending to kill tourists and suck the marrow from their bones. 

* The smallest species of trolls are the North American Cave Trolls. The most famous of these trolls was Peter the Troll. He was captured by Simon Barkley who tried to convert him to Christianity because of findings that trolls used tools to bury  their dead and added flowers and personal items to the grave. He wrote a book on the experience and saved the trolls from extinction (the smaller ones) by giving them national exposure.
