* A famous pyrokinetic was Ophelia Ryan, who died when she burned to death in her bed.

* Pyrokinetics are surrounded by an aura that protects them from their own flame. Their flame is usually blue. When this aura is no longer in effect, the aura turns yellow and the pyro sets himself/herself on fire.

* Pete McKinnon encountered another firebug who started out by setting fires to empty buildings. But he soon moved on to killing people in burning buildings, killing as many as sixty people in one and twenty-three in another. He tried to escape by setting fire to the police station, but Pete tackled him in a fire retardant suit. The man tried to set him on fire, but was unable because Pete was too close to his own aura. Eventually, his flame turned yellow, and while Pete had burn scars, the pyro killed himself. They could not put his fire out until he had completely burned to death.
