* Olaf is from Hapsburg, as Anita recognizes his accent.

* Anita happens to be his ideal victim - petite, usually Caucasian, and long dark-haired.

* Olaf is into shedding blood and gets his kicks from dismembering people/monsters. When Diego was being whipped by the vampire priestess women, Olaf would hardly contain his excitement at all the blood.

* Olaf comments about the fact that body organs are heavy if they are stored together in one container and unless a preservative is used, they will rot. He is speaking from experience, since Edward admits that the only one he knows who has come close to the murders that they have to solve in Albuquerque is Olaf.

* While he and Bernardo are on the case, both of them are forbidden from "dating" in any shape or form.

* Olaf's alias is Otto Jeffries and he is identified as having worked for the government at one point. When introduced as such, his heavy German accent disappears. He is retired, but his file at the FBI is a total blackout, which means he is a spook. Bradford had a friend in the FBI with level-two clearance, and this was as much information as he could get.

* Olaf helps Anita kill The Red Woman's Husband by chopping off his head while she cuts out his heart. He tells her she would have made a good man and actually enjoys the moment with her.

* He gives the impression that he is going to "do" Professor Dallas, but ends up leaving Anita a note at her house, saying he would love to hunt people with her.
