Marianne has long, pale hair with streaks of white, gray and blonde. She stands at about 5' 7". She is older than she looks, because although she is around fifty in years, she is vigorous and healthy-looking.

Commentary

* Marianne's role in the Oak Tree Clan is not a common one in most modern-day packs. She is the vargamor. When She first meets Anita, she has a bodyguard with her, Roland.

* She has an artificial valve in her heart which Anita can hear when she has the munin running through her.

* Marianne has two telephones in her house. The cordless one is for normal calls, but the second landline is for pack business only.

* She acts as Anita's mentor for six months, teaching her how to control her marks and keep both Jean-Claude and Richard out without losing her own personality in the process.

* Marianne tried to help Anita by teaching her to close up the holes in her aura, made by the marks she has with Jean-Claude and Richard. But the work was only temporary.
