Lieutenant Marks

The eyes may have been lovely, but they weren't friendly. It wasn't even the coolness of cop eyes. It was hostile. Since I'd never met him before, it had to be the fact that I was a woman, a civilian, and/or an animator. He was either a chauvinist or superstitious. I wasn't sure which I preferred.

* We are not told what his first name is.

* Marks is very prejudiced to Anita from the start, calling her a "fucking zombie queen" from the start. He doesn't like any kind of magic, labeling it all black.  His boss, Chief Appleton, had already informed him that he would have to work with Anita, but he isn't very friendly about it.

* Marks is married.

* He and a bunch of other cops showed up when Anita left the hospital because she hadn't given him a statement about what had gone on to put her in the hospital in the first place.

* He managed to get Anita off the case and prohibited from entering the crime scenes, but Ramirez still managed to get her information.

* Marks was conked over the head by Bernardo's cast when he tried to prevent him and Anita from going to see if Professor Dallas was alright or not.
