Commentary * Howard was hired by Frank Niley because he had told the other man that the spear which pierced Christ's side was buried somewhere in Myerton, Tennessee.

* Although Howard is the genuine article, he also uses his abilities for fraud, promising objects in areas that aren't there.

* Howard is able to see the auras surrounding a person.  When Anita touched Richard, he was able to see their auras converge, flare and separate.

* Anita makes him confess to the police to serve jailtime for fraud because he was part of the whole mess with Charlotte and Daniel.
