Dominic Dumare

Dominic walked around the three vampires I'd raised. We'd moved back out into the rubble-strewn main area, so he could see the zombies and the vampires all at once. He paced around the vampires, touching them here and there. He grinned at me, teeth flashing in his dark beard. "This is marvelous, truly marvelous."

* Although he looks about Anita's age, Dominic is much older due to his human servant status.

* Dominic offered to teach Anita the art of necromancy because he could sense in her the raw power that she didn't have complete control over yet.

* He is probably French, because he uses a few phrases now and again.

* Dominic can act as a focus, like Anita, for power. He had thought that their combined power would be able to help heal Sabin's face. He was the one to help her when she inadvertanly raised three vampires during the day - Willie, Liv, and Damian.

* Dominic surmised that with the power of the triumverate, Anita could raise Sabin during the day and heal him.

* Dominic took matters into his own hands and took Robert's heart for a ritual ceremony to heal Sabin. Richard and Jean-Claude were captured for this ceremony as well.

* He admited to Anita that her triumverate with Richard and Jean-Claude had the potential of being more powerful than his triumverate. He also intimated that the Council itself might have feared their combined power.

* Because of Sabin's condition, the only way to preserve the triumverate was to either heal Sabin somehow or hope that Dominic's spells could keep his insanity locked up. Because otherwise, if the Vampire Council must kill him, they would kill Cassandra and Dominic as well.

* Their triumverate had a deal with Marcus and Raina. The lycanthropes were supposed to kill off Anita. They failed.

* Dominic was shot by Edward after Anita instructed him to cross a magical circle that she could not. Edward shot him in the chest, and then blew his head off.
